El cantante canadiense The Weeknd lidera las nominaciones a los Billboard Music Awards. Con un total de 16 categorías, el intérprete de Blinding Lights arrasó con esta ceremonia que se celebrará el domingo 23 de mayo.

Al ícono del R&B le sigue el rapero DaBaby, quien obtuvo 11 nominaciones en nueve categorías. Mientras que la artista country Gabby Barrett es la tercera artista más nominada con nueve menciones, además es la artista femenina que logró más nominaciones.

Por otro lado, se conoció que el artista country Morgan Wallen recibió seis nominaciones, sin embargo, no estará presente en la ceremonia, debido a que lo grabaron diciendo una palabra ofensiva hacia una persona de piel oscura.
